FormAssembler

FormAssembler is a next-generation form-filling application. It is a command-line tool that merges data using FDF (Forms Data Format) templates to generate large numbers of new, filled-in PDF forms very rapidly.

Capable of generating hundreds of completed forms in a second or less, FormAssembler is ideally suited for regulated industries and other environments that require a fast, high-volume forms-delivery solution.

One thing that sets FormAssembler apart from other form-filling solutions is its ability to create new pages dynamically if there is too much data for a page. This is made possible by FormAssembler's support for the Forms Template feature of PDF. This feature makes it an ideal solution for creating "transactional documents" such as invoices and statements.

You can apply 40-bit or 128-bit encryption; set a user password to control who may view, print, or modify a document; and set an owner password to control who may change security settings.

Adobe Acrobat not required

FormAssembler is a stand-alone application — you don't have to have Adobe Acrobat installed to use it.
