Citation Software and Global Graphics ink reseller/integrator agreements
Recently executed agreements between Citation Software Inc.
and Global Graphics Software designate Citation Software as an Authorized Reseller and
Authorized System Integrator for software solutions that are based on
the Global Graphics Jaws PDF Technologies.
These agreements allow Citation Software to offer powerful and
affordable PDF-creation solutions
and PDF-based preflight solutions that are based on the Global Graphics
Jaws PDF Technologies. One example is the Jaws PDF Server
product, which is a centralized server solution that converts PostScript, EPS,
PDF, and TIFF files to optimized PDF formats. It's priced very competitively, beginning
at just $1,700.00 USD for a 25-user license.

Citation Software forms reseller relationship with Peoplesmith Software
Citation Software has signed an agreement
with Peoplesmith Software for the purpose of reselling Peoplesmith's very fast,
powerful, yet affordable data-hygiene/postal-automation solutions. Most of
these solutions are available as both desktop applications and
programmer's libraries (APIs).
Included in Citation's new line of Peoplesmith offerings are
RightFielder, a versatile and unusual
application that straightens
out jumbled mailing lists (even if they are in "print image"
format or "label" format);
and
Double Take, which is an extraordinary merge/purge solution
that allows you to process files in different formats,
with different field structures, without taking the time
to manipulate the files and get them all into the same format
with the same field structure.

Cost-effective PDF-creation solutions generate PDFs compliant with corporate standards
Now that Citation Software and Global Graphics software have reseller/integrator agreements
in place (see above), Citation Software
is offering powerful and affordable PDF-creation solutions that are based on
Global Graphics' Jaws PDF Technologies.
Jaws PDF Server is an affordable solution
for creating PDF files that meet corporate standards. It is a centralized
server solution that converts
PostScript files,
Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) files,
and one-bit
TIFF files into PDF files.
To use Jaws PDF Server, users just drag and drop PostScript files,
EPS files, and TIFF files onto hot folders for conversion to PDF format
from Windows, Macintosh, and Unix workstations. Windows
clients can create PDF files from within any application by
printing to PDF printer drivers across a network.
The software is multi-threaded,
so it can produce PDF files optimized for different PDF configuration settings
simultaneously — such as print-quality optimization,
Web optimization, and press-ready optimization.
The PDF files can be used with Adobe Acrobat products or with
other PDF viewers and tools.
Pricing begins at $1,700.00 USD for 25 users.

Jaws PDF Library
is a software-development kit (SDK) containing a powerful set of
functions that allow PostScript-to-PDF and PDF-to-PostScript
translation functionality to be embedded into third-party
solutions and workflows.
Designed specifically for OEMs and ISVs,
the Jaws PDF Library is based on the core technology of
the Jaws PDF-creation family of products and is aimed
at programmers using C or C++. It
is a library of routines that accepts PostScript-file
input, or a location for a PDF file, and converts
the input into either a PDF file or a PostScript file.
PostScript output can be either standard PostScript or
Encapsulated PostScript (EPS).
Configuration of most aspects of PostScript output
and PDF output is possible.
A variety of platforms are supported.
The Jaws PDF Library SDK costs $10,000.00 USD for corporate customers and
$5,000.00 USD for government customers. Runtime licenses
are $35.00 USD per user, or less, depending on the number of users.

Powerful preflight technology makes it easy for print-providers' customers to create good PDFs
As a result of Citation Software's recently executed reseller/integrator agreements with
Global Graphics (above),
Citation Software is now offering
Jaws PDF Courier, which
is an Internet-enabled electronic-document-delivery
toolkit that places preflighting upstream at customer sites
to assure print-service providers that the PDF files they receive
from customers can be printed. Providing an easy-to-configure
set of client- and server-based applications, Jaws PDF Courier
can be used to create customized and complete Internet-based
printing and document-delivery services.
Jaws PDF Courier incorporates Enfocus PitStop
preflighting technology so that print-service providers can make
PDF creation and preflighting available to their customers
to maintain a high degree of control over how those files
are produced. Because PDF files using Jaws PDF Courier are
created to the printer's precise specifications for a
given workflow, errors, rework and downtime are
dramatically reduced and productivity increased.
Benefits provided by Jaws PDF Courier
- Because Jaws PDF Courier moves controlled PDF creation,
proofing, and preflighting upstream, with the customer,
there is less wasted time at the printer's site dealing
with problems like missing fonts or problematic images.
This frees up more time for handling other customers' jobs

- The Jaws PDF Courier system is set up so that files from
a particular print-provider's customers can be uploaded to
that particular print provider only. This allows print

Straighten out your jumbled mailing lists easily; do merge/purge with different data formats!
Now that Citation Software has finalized its reseller agreement with Peoplesmith
software (above),
Citation is offering the complete line of Peoplesmith solutions for
manipulating and managing mailing lists on Windows computers.
RightFielder
is a program that straightens out jumbled databases! If you have
databases with fields in different orders and/or with
the wrong information in the wrong fields (for example,
company name is in the city field, state is in the Zip code
field, etc.), RightFielder is for you!
Believe it or not, RightFielder even works in situations where you've
got more than one kind of data in the same field (for example, if the
city and state are together in one field).
RightFielder can even deal with
"print image" files and "label format" files! And, it handles
addresses outside the United States.
The Desktop Standard Version of RightFielder costs $445.00 USD,
the Desktop Pro Series Version costs $695.00 USD, and API pricing
starts at $995.00 USD.

Double Take is an extraordinary merge/purge solution that
allows you to process files in different formats,
with different field structures, without taking the time
to manipulate the files and get them all into the same
format with the same field structure. For example, you
can process dBASE, Xbase, and ASCII files in one run — and
it's okay if the names and addresses are not in the same fields
in all of the files.
You can also work
with ODBC-accessed files directly.
Double Take does suppression and intersection runs;
parses street addresses; gives you precise control over how
matching is done; splits name fields, address fields, and
city-state-zip fields on the fly; and much more. And, it generates

Sir Speedy in Butler, PA regains lost customers after buying MAILERS+4 software
It was good business for Bill Longstreth,
a 17-year Sir Speedy franchise veteran in Butler, PA, to print
up his customers' mailers and then send them to the nearby
mailing house for postal processing. But when that mailing house
lured his customers away by offering to print the pieces themselves,
he said, "That's it! The last straw!"
Frustrated, he called the corporate offices of Sir Speedy for help.
He wanted to get his customers back. He found out about
MAILERS+4 postal-automation software and incorporated mailing fulfillment
into his copying and printing services at Sir Seedy.

With the help of the software, Bill found he could reduce the actual postage rate
even further by presorting the mailings to the SCF level (Sectional Center Facility).
He needs at least 200 pieces that qualify for this level,
which MAILERS+4 shows him, and then he has to physically drop the mailing
off at the SCF site. That’s no problem for Bill Longstreth. The short
drive to the SCF site is well worth the almost .03 per piece savings on
the postage. Bill saved an additional $600 on one mailing.
