On Demand Expo happens February 27, 2001 — March 2, 2001
|
JANUARY 10, 2001 — The "On Demand Digital Printing & Publishing Strategy Conference and Exposition"
will take place February 27, 2001 — March 2, 2001 at the Javits Convention Center in
New York City.
Maybe you are a business owner who is looking for strategies and opportunities that will
allow your company to profit from 1:1 marketing. Or perhaps you're focused on finding
better hardware and software for on-demand printing and variable-data printing/publishing.
Or maybe you're new to the world of electronic publishing, and you'd like to get a
better understanding of the various electronic-publishing technologies that are in
use currently.
Since you've obviously found your way to Citation Software Inc.'s Web site - and since
Citation Software Inc. provides products and services to the electronic-publishing
community - you probably fit one of the descriptions above. If at all possible,
try to attend the On Demand Expo. You can get a FREE pass to the Exhibit Hall at
On Demand if you register
at http://show.ondemandexpo.com/
prior to February 16th.
At http://show.ondemandexpo.com/ you
can also find out all the details about what will take place at the On Demand Expo.
Here is some information about some of the most interesting (in our opinion)
exhibitors and events that you'll find at On Demand:
EXHIBITORS
The Exhibit Hall will be open February 28 - March 2. Over 200 companies will be
showcasing their products and services. Here is a list of just a few of the exhibitors:
- Adobe Systems Incorporated (Booth #635): Visit this booth to see some of the
latest electronic-publishing software. Also, be sure to visit the Adobe
Solutions Network Pavilion, where you'll find representatives from
software-development companies that create clever and powerful software tools
that are based on Adobe technologies. This is the place to go to find out
about new Adobe Acrobat Plug-in software!
- Atlas Software BV (Booth #1040): This company makes a wonderful variable-data-publishing
software application called "PrintShop Mail." This application is at the very top
of Citation Software Inc.'s list of favorite variable-data-publishing applications because
1) it is VERY easy to use, and 2) you can create boilerplate documents with
virtually any page-layout program or illustration program (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PageMaker, Microsoft Word,
QuarkXPress - you name it!). See PrintShop Mail in action at Booth #1040.
- Collabria (Booth #554): See the "Collabria PrintCommerce" suite of
applications, which transforms print into an agile, personal, and cost-effective medium
that enables corporations to meet the demands of today's dynamic marketplace.
- Document Sciences Corporation (Booth #1055): Document Sciences has a family of
variable-data publishing products that is based on very mature
technology. Whether on the Web via Automated Personal Portals or in print,
this company's Rapid Application Development tools enable enterprises to transform
customer data and content into personalized, branded communications.

develop, print, and present documents that are tailored for each
individual customer.

for examining, modifying, and validating document files (particularly PDF files) and
for automating PDF workflows.
- Markzware Software (Booth #1243): This company makes terrific preflight software
and workflow software. Markzware's "MarkzScout" software is one of
Citation Software Inc.'s all-time favorite software applications! It is a
powerful, easy-to-use, programmable application that automates the process of
preflighting your document files.
