EDSF Manages Internship & Scholarship Programs
|
JUNE 28, 2002 — The Electronic Document Systems Foundation (EDSF),
an organization dedicated to enhancing the value and
relevance of document communications worldwide,
manages scholarship programs and internship programs
for students that are studying
document communications. EDSF endeavors to
serve as a catalyst for education
and research initiatives and also strives to resolve
document-communications
issues that impact society.
The following education programs have been
established:
- The Electronic Document Systems Foundation
Internship Consortium
This consortium (www.EDSFIntern.org)
is designed to help
provide corporations a
source of future employees. Qualified
college students can use the site to
learn about internship opportunities and co-op
opportunities.
Companies are urged to visit www.EDSFIntern.org
in preparation for fall placement.
EDSF is offering the placement service to
companies at no charge, and qualified students
are available.
- The John A. Lopiano Scholarship
This is a
$2,000 award sponsored by
OutputLinks/COPI.
It is one of 15 scholarships offered to students
pursuing a degree in the field of document
communications. In awarding the Lopiano Scholarship,
priority consideration will be given to students
who work in or whose family member has worked
or currently works in a segment of the high-volume-computer-output (HVCO)
industry.
