Automated printing option now available with PrintShop Mail
|
DECEMBER 6, 2002 — The latest Windows
version of Atlas Software's PrintShop Mail
application makes available a
"hands off" feature that allows you
to predefine PrintShop Mail jobs and include
them in an automated work flow.
This feature, which is called the
"Enable for Automatic Printing"
option, provides an
API (Application Program Interface)
that allows you to start and control
print jobs automatically, either by
specifying a script file
or by using another application to
send DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange) commands
to PrintShop Mail.
The "Enable for Automatic Printing"
option can be obtained free of charge until
March 1, 2003. After that date, it will be
available for purchase.
About PrintShop Mail
PrintShop Mail
is a variable-data-printing application
that runs on a Macintosh computer or
a Windows computer and is powerful yet
extremely easy to use. It is also one of
the least expensive variable-data-printing
solutions available today
(pricing starts at $1395.00 USD).
PrintShop Mail is designed to use PDF files
as boilerplate documents. Therefore, when
you use PrintShop Mail to create
variable-data documents, virtually
any word-processing application or page-layout
application can be utilized to create your
boilerplate documents.
This is a real time-saver if you
receive boilerplate documents from sources
outside your company — for example,
from customers — because you don't
have to re-create each boilerplate
document in-house (just convert the
boilerplate document from whatever format
it's in to PDF format).
PrintShop Mail supports the following output formats:
