Excellent article by Barbara Pellow about variable data and digital color printing

SEPTEMBER 3, 2002 — The August 2002 issue of Digital Output magazine contains an excellent article written by Barbara Pellow. Its title is "Variable Data and Digital Color: Examining the challenges and opportunities."

The article gives details about a number of tools for doing variable-data printing (including tools that allow you to leverage legacy data). It also talks about different levels of personalization.

Ms. Pellow points out that

"Organizations are reaching the realization that there is tremendous value in communicating a personalized message to their target customers."

and

"Print is still the primary media for delivery of one-to-one communications."
